Birds and Flowers

What a gorgeous day, yesterday! Immediately upon setting foot outside, Ava heard a "birdie" and we had to go looking for it. That little stinker did NOT want it's picture taken; I had a hard time getting this shot, and it's far from perfect. And...my tulips are coming up! Nothing says spring like tulips peeking through the ground!

Friends

I'm sure most kids are, but Ava is an outside kinda gal! She loves to be outside...doing anything! Today has been so beautiful that as soon as she has pants on she was begging to go outside. She played on her own for awhile, and then the adorable neighbor girls came over and asked if they could play with her. Of course! They played wonderfully together for about 45 minutes, before the girls got bored and moved on to tag (which was ok because it was Ava's naptime anyway). Last summer, whenever I was outside with Ava, these neighbor girls would inevitably come over and ask to play. I'm so glad that she has friends already! Even if they are significantly older than she.

Crafts

Today saw me working on some crafts for Ava's Strawberry Shortcake birthday party next week. I can't believe she's going to be 2 already! Where did the time go!? Mom's always say that, but I'm serious. It seems like only a few months ago I was still crying my eyes out, depressed to the brink of insanity over my infertility. God is wonderful, isn't He?

Outside

Finally! A day warm enough to play outside for a few hours.

Nervous

Ava has begun a new nervous habit. She has followed her Aunt Aubre in this one; she bites her cuticles. It's super cute, but I know it's going to result in plenty of hangnails and bleeding nails. *sigh*

Baby A

Spent Saturday photographing a gorgeous baby girl! I love newborn photo shoots. The basic set-up for each shot is the same, but the portraits always turn out different because each baby is different. I had really wanted to try a certain shot for baby A, but she was fussy and wiggly and wouldn't allow it. But, we got some other amazing shots in spite of the fussiness!

Jump!

Beautiful Bailey turned 3 last month. I meant to write about it earlier, but kept getting distracted with numerous other things. Jeanna rented out "Jump Around Utah" for the event and it was so much fun! There was nobody there except for us and we had all the bouncy fun to ourselves. Lyle loved the giant pillow, Sean had so much fun we didn't see much of him and Ava had a blast on the giant slide; her face was priceless coming down and everytime she stood up her grin was so big I thought her face would crack. Susan jumped almost all night on the giant pillow, too; such a fun Grandma! I didn't do much jumping (I wasn't feeling very well), but the camera was attached to my face all night. We've already got another birthday party planned here for Camden and Sean is begging for his to be held here as well. It seriously is such a fun place to play!
