A Shower and a Resort

Lyle's cousin Elliot and his amazingly gorgeous wife Katie are expecting their baby girl in a couple of months. We attended their baby shower yesterday and had a great time! I crocheted an African Daisy granny quilt to match the car seat canopy I made. I found the material for the canopy at Hobby Lobby and immediately thought of Katie...it SCREAMED Katie! Check out her face! I think she likes them! After the baby shower, we decided to go out for ice cream with Aubre and Christopher and their kids. We were right by the Shops at Riverwoods and so we thought we'd see if they had any ice cream shops. We walked into Ike's Creamery and were surprised at the scene! Apparently, Provo Beach Resort is a fancy Trafalga! Holy crap! They had a surfing area, a ropes course and full bowling lanes. Sean HAD to try the ropes course, so while he spent his 30 minutes on the ropes, everyone else (aside from me, who forgot the camera in the car and had to take pics on Lyle's iPhone instead) bowled. Ava loved watching her brother on the course. Sean and Ava rde the carousel while I ordered ice cream; one scoop of cookie dough, double scoop of cookie dough and oreo, one scoop of birthday cake and an orange float! Mmmm...tasty! Our tiny kidlets were getting antsy, so we took some time in the toddler area. Ava loved crawling through the tunnels and going down the slide. Sean's statement summarized the day perfectly, "This went from just getting ice cream to being the best night ever!" 0353.JPG" width="266" />

  1. I love spur of the moment activities that turn into something so much more than that! So glad Sean thought it was the best night ever. Completing a ropes course would definitely not be on my top ten list of fun things to do lol!
